I would say 9 out of 10 times, it's not a good thing. There is a reason why him and his ex aren't together anymore and it's clearly a bad thing when he says that you're just like his ex. I would kinda of dig deeper into why he said that in the first place.

Never a good thing or they wouldn't be an 'ex', right? Now think about this...what are some of the things that he has said about his ex in the past to you?? Was it good?? I doubt it. Couples should never ever compare their new partner with an ex at anytime. Each person is a new experience. Good Luck!
