Can a condom expire and what would happen?

can a condom expire...like get old and if it can...can you still get preganat if sumone wears one?

Yes, condoms go 'bad' more or less.

Do I know how really? No I don't. I just know that they do indeed expire.

Many things affect a condom's effectiveness.
*Lubricants can affect it...it is important to remember that any lubricant that is oil-based can weaken a latex condom. Therefore, look for lubricants that are water-based.
*Always store your condoms away from sunlight, in a cool, dry place because heat and sunlight can also weaken the condom.
* Check the expiration date on your condom package and never use a condom that has expired. If you cannot find an expiration date (usually marked as Exp), then check for the date of manufacture (usually marked as MFG). Do not use any condoms five years after the date of manufacture. If your condoms contain spermicide, then throw them out two years after the date of manufacture.

If a condom is expired or weakened (by the lubricants I talked about, or by heat or sunlight), then they are not as effective. The risk of the condom breaking is higher, and therefore the risk for pregnancy is higher.
