First you have to know the model the motherboard you are using(I presumed it is desktop pc), to check if it is compatible with your hardware. Then buy a sound card that will fit to your motherboard, plug your sound card and install the needed drivers for your cards.. usually sound card are plug in into PCI.. But today PC is now came with BUILT-IN Sound card.

well my computer sound card doesn't work. The person who fixed our comp. broke it. Now I don't know what to do. I saw a usd sound card online. Would that work? are there any other possibilities?
