Computer problems!!

I think my computer has a virus because my virus protector ran out yesterday I tried to go to comcast and download the free mcafee protector but a big pop up comes up and it says that this action is blocked so I click on continue unblocked and it leads...

me back to my home page I dont know what to do. Any suggestions

I think it would be difficult for you to have contracted a redirect virus from one day of unprotected use. More likely is that the virus protection is still active but the automatic updates have expired. The virus protection you already have may be blocking your ability to obtain another piece of software.

my sister screwed up the computer. I usually can fix it but I couldnt this time. all virus protection stuff keep popping up. we had the geek squad comover and yet they couldnt fix it because we needed the original computer disk.
