Computer problems

I have a lot of prf.tmp files that showed up after I had a virus, how do I fix this problem? My IE 7 won't let me download any updates and Incredimail won't work either. What can I do?

clear your temp folder as well as your temporary internet files. Don't bother using the toolbar on the browser just hold the Windows key on the keyboard and press 'E' which will bring up file explorer. the path to these two folders is C:/Documents and Settings/'Owner'/Local Settings/ If you don't see the Local settings folder then you need to click the 'toos' tab at the top of the window and select 'folder options' then 'view' and highlight the box next to view hidden file types. This will let you see the local settings folder and you can get to Temp and Temporary Internet Files. Dump everything out of both these folders and anything that might not let you delete will have to be deleted in windows safe mode.

You might want to ask Incredimail to send you a version that is compatable with IE 7....I understand there were a few problems with the two and Incred doea have a version that works
