Complicated love part 1

ok this is the first part to this question (the less complicated part) so here goes
I met this boy at my creative writing club and it was like I knew him already, I started talking to him after the session and found out that he got the same late bus as...

me and got off at the same stop.
we went on for a few weeks and became quite good friends. one of my friends thought I fancied him so she went and told him that I really really liked him, which was kind of true to a certain extent
he came and asked me out later that day and I said yes
we carried on for 2months but to be honest it wasnt that serious, we never saw eachother out of school even and I never even laid a finger on him and I could never summon up the courage to tell him how I felt about him
after the two months I got an email from him saying that he didnt want to go out with me anymore but we could still be friends
we went on as friends althoughi began to like him even more
it was a bad time for me with my grandma dieing of cancer and a few more unfortunate incidences so I felt I had to pretend to myself that I did still have him
then one day I got another email from him telling me that I had gone too far and that he didnt even want to know me anymore, it went silent.
that was 4 months ago, now my friend is going out with his friend. his friend told me by accident that the boy was going to ask me out again, yet he still hasnt
before I submit this I would like to mention the fact that he is in the year below me and that there is more important information in part 2
but if anyone can help me sort this out, I thank you x

maybe you havent got asked out yet is because his friend is lieing

I know how it feels ... me and my boyfriend went out for what had to be atleast 4 months and then out of the blew a text and we were over just like that (lets admit it a boy saying he still wants to be friends after a relationship failure is litrally impossible) but in all fairness if he said to me I dont even want to know you any more then even if he did apologise and ask me out again if I were you I would say no you had your chance you blew it or something like im sorry do I know you little boy
he sounds like a bit of a player tohav dumped you like that ...

Sorry to hear about your grandma sounds like you went through a pretty rough time

extention to the question: the reason he dumped me was because one of my 'friends' told him that the only reason I was going out with him was that he reminded me on someone I used to fancy
