Because thats too completely different things happening.
Being hot and sweaty is due to your body temperature and your body trying to cool itself down over all.
Drinking something hot wont make you burn fat because it's your digestive track and that's what it's designed to do. It's like leaving a cup of coffee at room temperature, eventually the coffee will cool down to room temp. Eventually hot liquid will cool down to your body temp. We can't drink anything drastically hotter than our body temp because it would burn us. I would say anything hotter than 120 degrees Fahrenheit would burn.

odd that no-one wants to answer this : (
I know cold drinks help you burn cal's cause your body has to shiver etc to heat its self up again.
but I don't know about hot drinks.
I'm not really sure but I think if you drink somethin cold your body has to use calories to heat it up to your natural body temperature. Hope I helped... Or google it
Because your body doesn't have to cool down hot liquids... we're warm blooded mammals.
if you drink something too hot it's going to burn you, you obviously wouldn't drink something boiling would you?
The pain from a burn is your tissues etc being damaged and your nerves responding - telling your body that you're hurting yourself!
