I don't know the circumstances of why your mother kicked you out - but legally she's responsible for you until you turn 18. So you could move back with her.
or like what apathic said, get it together and get out of there. You don't deserve to have something like this as your living conditions and to be treated that way. It's not your responsibility to mother a 16 year old and take care of a house full of slobs.
xox
Sika
you should do what apathic said and save some money up.
with the money you had spent in one month on cleanign supplies could have gone on a new place for yourself.
You should start saving your money and try and get a new house or flat or woteva cause living in those conditions are extremely aweful.
good luck xx

What should a clean freak do when living with slobs?
Hi there, I have a HUGE problem and would appreciate any advice/help I can get!!!
I live in a two-bedroom apartment with a high school friend of mine and her father. We have three cats and a dog (untrained at 5yrs) living in extremely confined...
spaces. Not to mention the father and daughter are infamously lazy.
My parents kicked me out in July, I moved into this apartment with the father, step mother, and daughter. I moved in with my boyfriend in September, then I moved in for the second time during the father's divorce (second marriage, no children, THIS WOMAN WAS WHY DIVORCES EXIST!!!) at the end of November. He had just kicked his wife out the previous day (even though all she ever did was contribute to the mess anyways).
Main issues
THE DOG:
Poops on the carpet. Constantly. He's a mini pinscher with stomach problems, so his feces are hardly ever solid. He also has issues with peeing all over the place, marking his territory (especially carboard boxes and corners; between carpet and baseboard).
THE SENILE CAT:
Pees wherever he pleases. When he DOES use the litter box, he kicks the litter out of the box (even though it is COVERED and not an open litterbox!!!).
THE LITTERBOX:
Since we have such a small place we can't fit the litterbox anywhere but a little alcove beside the dining room. It reeks.
THE DAUGHTER:
Makes messes, never cleans them up. You may think this sounds like the average teenager, but the amount of filth contributed to the situation by this girl is simply amazing (in a way that makes you want to vomit). A concise list of 5 most recent messes:
- Took pillow cases off pillows... pillows are now covered with blood spatters, among other human (or not) fluids
- Left open container of chocolate on bedroom floor, stepped on it, chocolate now ingrained in carpet, kitten had a bite of it and got sick
- (Even though she is 17...) spilled vodka all over the kitchen floor while I was away at a friend's house and left it there; accumulated dust, grime, hair, crumbs, lint, footprints and HARDENED to a crusty film
- Stuffed dirty (menstrual) panties into corner of bathroom between sink and wall, left the bathroom door open and cats used them as a litterbox
- Baked cookies and proceeded to use unclean batter bowl as a trash can
THE FATHER:
Feels that having a job is enough. Doesn't buy food for anyone but himself (I don't expect him to buy for me... but at least his own 17 year-old daughter!) and never does any house work. Feels that it is everyone else's obligation to take care of HIS animals. Although his animals are untrained and leave our apartment barely habitable, he WILL NOT train them, put them to sleep or in any way attempt to remedy the situation.
I have to admit, the other two cats are well-behaved and use the litter box as they are supposed to.
The carpet in our apartment has EXTREME pet odors and stains. An animal (my own pet that I brought to the apartment) actually died from how unsanitary the carpets were before I cleaned them. Still VERY unclean. 90% of the areas that need to be cleaned are stained to the point of not even recognizing the original carpet color. The apartment smells like animal urine even after cleaning.
Dishes are left piled up in the sink (with food still in/on them) while I am out or at work. I spend at least 10 hours a week doing dishes. I also fill up at least one full garbage bag of trash and various messes left around the house per day.
FAILED ATTEMPTS TO REMEDY THE SITUATION:
- I have spent over $150 in the past month in cleaning supplies, including an automotive drip pan to line with newspaper and put the litter box in to give the animals a clean, designated place to go to the bathroom. Animals still do not use the litterbox or paper.
- Punished daughter for leaving messes by giving her dish duty for each offense. She's at 35 offenses right now and still refuses to do dishes claiming that I'm controlling and unreasonable. Alas, I now realize it isn't my job to be her mother (especially since I'm merely a year older than her).
- I've tried cleaning up messes as they are made. If I were to spend the time to clean the apartment until it were actually clean... well, it would never get done unless everyone left the apartment until I was finished.
- I walk the dog every chance I get! He goes to the bathroom numerous times outside but still continues to go inside as well.
- I punish (firm, gruff NO and a hefty swatt on the butt) the animals each time I catch them in the act of dirtying up the place. Even though it hasn't had any effect thus far on the main offenders, I still continue to do it.
- Baking soda, pet stain removers of every brand from A to Z on the carpets! The smell weakens for a day or two but comes back with a vengeance!
Please, any advice you have to offer, whether it be a reference to a good carpet cleaning service, a lecture on how I can't be the mother of a girl one year younger than me, a letter to the father on how disgusting this all really is (because he doesn't quite seem to get it), a link to a great website on training dogs, or simply a good luck, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!
This is one of the MAJOR stressors in my life at the moment not only because it seriously compromises my health, but because I feel like an overall failure for not being able to keep this place running.
