Well here armenia. I'll give you the last real piece of 'classical music' ever made. the latest, really good original symphony work; held up there with Beethoven and such. This masterpiece was composed by George Gershwin in 1924.
Besides being ahead of its time, it's really a monumental piece of music in that it influenced the structure of contemporary pop structure in the 20th century.
That, plus Bach, is my favorite sort of classical composition.
