Circumcision?

The Fiance and Me at a Luau Asked by mandyloo about 1 year ago, 9 answers.

For mother's who have sons or for anyone else for that matter...

Did you or will you circumsize your sons? Do you think that it is necccasary? What do you think about circumcision.

I seem to be getting a lot of grief from my mother lately about not...

circumsizing my son, I feel it was the best choice in my situation and I feel I made the best decision for my son. I'm just wondering what are others views on the topic.

My son is not circumcized.

He's almost 13 and has never had a problem.

The way I see it, if you're born with it, it's meant to be there!

I don't have a son but I've started thinking about the circumsicion question because of my husband. They say that most men want their boys to look like them therefore snip snip if they are circumsized. So the dilemma seems to be more about this then hygiene or other matters. I do think that in the end it should be a decision made by both parents.

Personaly, I don't see the point because it only takes away nerve endings that make sex more pleasurable. Poeple still tend to be misinformed and think that it's not hygienic but that simply is untrue because being clean is about washing yourself and has nothing to do with the foreskin. The only reason to actualy go through with it is if there was a physical problem with the foreskin. One thing is for sure adult circumsicion make men suffer much more since they know what they are missing.

I believe the original reason circumcision came about was because it was seen as unclean to have one. If you teach your son about proper hygiene and cleaning himself around that area, I don't see why you'd need a circumcision.

I've read some Christian books in the past on sexuality. Another reason why women used to get their sons circumsized is because it was thought that having to wash down there everyday and pull back the foreskin, would lead to masterbation. They thought that by not having to pull back a foreskin all the time, that children would refrain from masterbating.

I don't really think it's right to circumcise children because it's an unnecessary surgery.
I don't think it's horrible, but it's not right.

I have 2 boys and both of them are circumcised. I didn't want them to get this done but their father did. He is circumcised and I think he wanted them to look like him (that's my personal opinion anyway). I also have 2 stepsons that are both circumcised and I think that my husband wanted our boys done because then all of his boys would look the same and then we wouldn't have any questions of why does his p*nis look different than mine.

Personally I think it's something that doesn't need to be done but I also feel that the ultimate choice should be left up to the father (just my opinion).

Set religion aside, as well as circumcision in later life that addresses clear medical problems.

Why cut off the foreskin of newborn baby who has no problems in that department? Why do it without local anesthesia when it's obvious that the snipping is very painful?

By and large, only USA parents do this. They do it because every penis Mum saw while growing up, was circumcised. She doesn't want to be reminded of the mysterious foreskin every time she gives Bubs a bath or changes his nappy. The idea of dating a guy with foreskin turns her stomach, because American women believe that fellatio is a required part of teen sexual exploration. Fellation done in times and places where a quick prior wash is impossible.

Dad has either never seen foreskin in the flesh, or if he has, it was on a guy in the changing room he instantly felt sorry for. Dad too doesn't want to be reminded of foreskin every time he gives Bubs a bath or changes his nappy. Dad has this gnawing fear in the pit of his stomach that girls will reject his son after the first date,
if he has foreskin. Mom and Dad don't know how to raise an intact boy, and don't want to learn about it; they don't want to think about pee, about genitals, about how foreskin changes sexual behaviour, about all that icky skin on the end of the willy, skin that reminds them of vulva. And so when the nurse asks Do you want him circumcised? they give the nod.

The mass of middle class Americans are a circumcised people because of timorous conformity. Nobody wants to give their son a Weird Dick. Even if that weird dick is precisely what Mother Nature ordered.
