Hi,

The circulatory system deals with the heart, blood, blood vessels, arteries, and veins.

Taking care of the circulatory system involves making sure the pump, vessels, and fluids are working properly.

For the heart, make sure you eat a balanced diet with plenty of exercise. The heart depends on certain chemicals to function properly, such as minerals like calcium and electrolytes like potassium and sodium. Be sure your diet includes fruits and vegetables. You also need exercise to tone and condition the heart and your body.

For the vessels, again make sure you are getting plenty of exercise and rest. Check your blood pressure often, as too high a blood pressure can lead to strokes and heart attacks.Eating foods with too much sodium can raise your blood pressure, as the sodium draws fluids from the cellular area into your bloodstream. Again, watch out for high cholesterol. Also smoking and diabetes can damage the interior lining of your vessels, making it more likely that plaques will form and thus causing a higher likelihood of strokes and heart attacks.

Finally, for the fluids, make sure you are eating a balanced diet and getting all the nutrition you need. A common deficiency is Anemia, or lack of Iron, especially in women. This can usually be remedied by over-the-counter supplements.

I hope this helps you.
