Child a mistake?!

ok so my friend's dad told him he was a mistake! how do I help him? I've always been good at telling him things but this is hard!! HELP PLEASE! I dont know what to say to comfort him. heres our convo

him: My dad just told me that I was I mistake!!! Well...

Did he answer about being drunk?
I really doubt anyone can actually sue a condom company, condoms aren't 100% which means it's 'use at your own risk' so I sounds like he has some issues going on. Just comfort him and let him get his feelings out.

um, well first off, I was also a mistake but obviously not a bad one as my parents still kept me.
remind him that his parents still love him and wanted to keep him. He still still alive and well and in their care. all his dad was telling him was how he got conceived, which many kids wonder at some point in their lives.

Even those who are mistakes, a lot of the time they are just as loved. I'm nearly 20 with a baby on the way and I already love him/her more than anything else on this planet, he/she wasn't planed quite this soon. Mistakes aren't always a bad thing..
