Chihuahua heat cycle

My chiuahua is 2 1/2 years never been w/a male before this time. She was w/ 2 chi's 1 was 3yrs old the other is 6months old. She got tied up w/the 3 yr old 4-5 times started on 7/31/09 and she is still getting tied w/ the 6 month old today 8/14/09 this...

is beening going on for 16 days is this normal... I thought they quit when she got preg... Help just worried about her she's my baby...Or is it b/c it's her first time?

Read up on or do a search on dog heat cycle, it last for 3 weeks and they do not stop there heat if the Tie just once. I would also read up on chihuahua gestation or Whelping a litter. These little dogs need a c-section because they are small. So save up on money and find a good vet. Make sure you feed her a good puppy food and feed her a couple of small meals a day. Plan on having puppies in about 63 days from the first time you saw them tie

I wanted to say they don't need a c-section all the time but the precentage is high,
My chihuahua did not need one her first liter of 3 but then need on on her second liter of 1. So planning ahead and talking to your vet well give you less stress

I had two chihuahuas (male and female) that were spayed and neutered when we got them both at two years old. We recently got a female chihuahua who is about 8-9 mos. When do they normally have their first heat cycle?
