hey I'm trying to improve myself in chess does anyone have advice

read a lot of chess books and dont play with people that have no skill your not plaing for fun you are tring to get good play people on a masters level the only way to be the best is to play the best

3. choose tournement
4. click rated game
5. win more than twenty games

The three P's... practise, practise, practice.
That way, the only necessities are a chess board and chess pieces.
Also, what enna said is good, because if you play someone with no skill, it takes a toll on you and you let your guard down in other games.

play people that are better then you and learn from your mistakes. have someone to go over openings, midgames, endgames. be able to get to a point where you can see 12 moves for every piece. play tournaments.
