Dose playing chess make you smarter I herd that evrey time you play it your iq goes up by .5 or somethin is that true?

lol I wouldn't say .5 everytime you play but it will make you more strategic, yes which is a sort of intelligence.

Smarted yes, but not book smart... it may help your skills like memorization and thinking / inquiry I guess.
