What has Chemically straightening done to your hair? good or bad things?

I got a relaxer and so far, it's made my hair way easier to deal with. It used to take me an hour and half to really straighten my hair, and by the end of the day it would be wavy; but now it takes 15 min. and it stays straight [unless it's raining and humid, but even then, it doesn't friz] I would say go for it, but you have to be willing to pay to get it done periodically.

How much did yours cost and what kinda hair do you have?

My hair is... or was before... really curly and it tended to friz A LOT. My hair is really thick too, which made it that much worse. Anyways, it cost me about 80 dollars, and I'm happy with it. But before I got it done, I spoke to different hair places and found out what they used. I couldn't afford the most expensive, and the cheapest... well, I didn't trust it. They used isotamer on my hair and it worked really well. So see if anyone near you uses that.

Oh, yeah, the 80 includes the tip that I gave her. So like 70 if you don't include tip.

I stopped getting relaxers a while ago. I mean, they're good for my hair. It makes it straight and makes my hair look fake (but it's perfectly real). It costs like 70 dollars like peacemaker said. I stopped getting them because the last time I got it, it was a good 5 months ago, my hair started to fall out because the lady I went to did something wrong, so I stopped. My hair is fine when I just wash it and straighten it.

f you get done, make sure you go to someone that knows what they're doing. My hair is thinner cause it was falling out because the lady did something wrong. It's stopped now cause I do my own hair and I stopped putting chemicals in it.
