Charge for answers like google answers used to do?

Jeremy Goodrich yep, that's me Asked by thedude over 2 years ago, 7 answers.

Currently, we don't offer paid answers - eg, the ability to pay for an answer to a question. Do you think we should add that feature? Google Answers has shut down, but there are a few sites that still offer paid answers. However, since we have answers...

for free, I haven't ever seen the merit of letting people pay for their answers.

Is this a feature you'd like to have? Please let us know your opinion.

Hi,
If they don't like the answers would they get a refund LOL? If you had paid answers I think that people expect expert advice by professionals. This forum allows for different opinions and you get to choose which ones you like and not confined to just one. I like it the way it is...besides if they paid for the answers you'd have to give a cut to the person answering would you not? I like it a lot the way it is.

Well, actully, sorry to say but I do belive that is not a good idea. If people want expert advice, why not go to Wikipedia? How about it you charged for other things, like pics, to use as a screen display. I think that would be a better idea,

As a follow up to this:

We consider lots of stuff. One of the ideas might be for people to, as an option, pay for answers and select that when they ask their question. Then, yes, if they paid for a question, we'd in turn share the bulk of the payment with the person who answered the question.

I expect even if we did offer such a feature, the majority of questions would still be free. However, the reason we're considering it (we consider lots of stuff, lol) is that it might up the quality of both questions answers on some niche topics like taxes, insurance, financial planning, real estate, etc.

Thanks for the feedback, it's always appreciated.

Well , I feel there are many Q@A Sites out here , and the ones who get paid are really from Experts , such as lawyers, nurses and so on - Being free to share your advice seems to bring the community closer together as a whole - And my advice is really from everyday learning from life its self - That helps with the name Fun Advice

Hm...I'd never pay for answers...not when there are so many free places on the web to find them. Do people actually pay?
