What do I do if I misplaced my phone?

So..this is really, really, bad. I have a Verizon L.G and yesterday, almost two days ago, I misplaced it. I took my dog Nemo and my friend's dog out on a walk and I'm hoping I didn't drop it! We walked inside the store, because the dogs and I were going to Petland to buy some treats. Well, I'm hoping I didn't drop it, and if I did, I'm even more worried someone stole it. I am so freaked out! The worst part is, the damn thing is dead, so I can't call it to see if it's home. It goes straight to Voicemail. I'm so scared, I can't tell my dad. He freaks out if I lose a nickel. (No joke) He makes a mountain out of a mole-hill, but this is not a mole-hill, it's a Cell phone, so what can I do? Is it possible for the Verzion Employees to track my phone somehow?
Please, I really need advice fast.

Ps- Someone could have easily stole it, I live less than a 2-minute drive from a very popular mall.

call or go to the store, and see if they have it in their lost-and-found. retrace your steps, and keep looking. good luck!

what I would do is try to trace my tracts and find it before your dad knows its gone!!!

u can call verizon and they might be able to locate your phone since everything is satilite...

...you could go to the store, ask them if theyve seen it or if anyone handed it in. but apart from that theres not much else they can do.
...you can call the cell phone company your with, and ask them what to do
...if you know your security number then you can tell them that so they can disable the phone (so nobody can use it)
theres a pretty high chance that it got stolen though, so be aware of that. you might not get it back.
