Nice Job!! I have been celibate for 8 years. It is not easy. I purposely make excuses why I cannot go to the nightclub or the bar, because I know I will be tempted to go home with a stranger. I don't go out with friends as they will realize I never have a companion... This is going to sound super stupid, but I have dogs that keep me busy, and I meet nice people at the dog parks who have similar likes. Mostly I keep the house a mess so I will not be tempted to invite anyone over. I have 5 pets to attend to which gives me a solid reason to come home every night. Not too many people know this about me, this makes it easier I think, no pressure. I meet nice girls that I know I cannot possibly have a relationship with and have them as friends if I need the limited companionship. I hope this has helped. I know its just random stuff, but it helps. About the sincerity part, I pray every day and every night. I ask God for his help with this, to keep my goal in sight, no not let me falter, and step off the path. When it come to the point that I unfortunately am too week to fight off the urge to satisfy a certain urge, I remember that I am human, and therefore a sinner and must get re- connected to God. But it is tough so you have something to be proud of.
Let's just say you were trying to lose weight, and you had a slight addiction to doughnuts. you wouldnt listen to music about doughnuts, you wouldnt read about doughnuts, you wouldnt go inside a place where doughnuts were sold. basically the same idea. dont surround yourself with things that will temp you.
We are tempted continuously! God gives us a way out of the temptation by letting us make the right decisions for His Glory. I'm also in celibacy since my divorce in '01, having seen the other side before marriage. So glad those days are dead, long gone, and will never return.
Sounds like you are already sincere!
May God Bless you!
