Why can't I open my cd tray?

I cant open my CD Disc to play music or anything on a DVD or CD disc

Hi,

Here is some troubleshooting if you can't open your disc tray. (Remember, your computer must be turned ON before trying to open it).

- Make sure the AC power cord is securely connected.
- The system may not be turned on. Turn on the computer using the MAIN POWER switch.
- The disc tray might need to be realigned on its track. To try to realign the disc tray:

1. Place one hand on the front of the disc tray and gently press against the tray while pressing the open button.
2. If you feel the tray start to open, remove your hand and see if the tray will extend out to the fully open position.
3. Press the open button again to close the disc tray.

I had that problem once. I simply shut down the computer and then rebooted it. It started working again right after that.
