Cats have nine lives?

Why is it that cats have 9 nine lives, or said to have.

They don't it's just a myth.

-Some people started saying it because cats can survive falling from very high places with few if any injuries. Thus the saying - they have 9 lives because they seem to be almost invinciable.

-The reason for 9 is that Ancient Mathematical Philosophers called nine the finishing post - or completion.

well I work at a vet hospital and I have not seen it yet.

yeah it's true my cats shud have died yeArs ago bbut they are still alive , so I think it's true

It just appears that they might...they can be lucky so often...but like all of us, they only have one life.
