How to convince my mom to get a cat?

I really want a cat. And my mum said she will think about it.. but that usually means no.
How can I convince her its a good idea and that there easy to care for?

Do some research on cats to show your mum you are serious about caring for a cat and promise her that you will always take care of it. At the end of the day it will still be down to your mum. Even offer to save up money incase your cat needs vetenary care or offer to take out cat insurance. Caring for a cat isnt expensive until they need vetinary care.

Try saving up some money, and say you will pay for the bed and food. It may take a while for her to warm to the idea.
I kept nagging my mum for a dog. I just bought loads of books, and kept telling her I would do everything.
It took a few months until I got one though.
