Make sure your cat knows where his/her litter box is and that it's clean.

Ok, it is not normal, the cat could possibly have an infection...
Take him/her to the vet

It is domanice over you and all about the territory, you need to make him stop and keep your door shut or add another liter box to your room. good luck, and just to rule out a UTI you may want to see the vet, but I don't think that is it.
