why does the cat pee on the stove?

Answer #2

thanks for the advice, but I am not the actual owner. the cat belongs to my daughter. and about inviting people over? I never do that. But I had family here over the Holidays and when I turned on the stove, they all ran outside saying they were going to vomit. I tried to play it off like I didn’t know what they were talking about. Like the urine was in the cupboards, not on the stove. ew!

Answer #3

my cat would pee in the strangest places (the most annoying was definitely the dryer).

So several things could be going on…

she might not like the liter box… (I took the lid off mine and magically she stopped peeing everywhere), so… these are options, remember to keep her old one around till you figure out a good combination

get a bigger litter box get a smaller litter box get one with a lid get one without a lid change the litter clean the box more often put the box in a different location get a second box

if none of this works she could have an infection and she needs to go to the vet

Answer #4

When my cat was sick, he peed down the heat vents…

I think they kinda like peeing down something…like people train them to pee in the toilet…and my sister’s cat peed down the bathtub drain (very handy :) )…Maybe it’s part of their cleanliness…like some are way cleaner than others??

Answer #5

Most likely if the cat smelled something on the stove. It had to mark it’s territory. Mostly females do this. I had to get rid of ours for the same reason.
