no, you should'nt have to change the fingering, but remember wherever you put the capo, say if you put it on the third fret, your guitars bottom E is now a G. so you have basically changed the guitars tuning but your chords, say you play an open Emaj with the capo on the third fret, that will be a Gmaj, so if your playing along with a disc or something, you now need to transpose all of the chords to accomodate the new tuning...what song are you trying to play that requires a capo, or are you writing one?

Capo?
When you're playing gutiar with a capo, do you have to change your fingerings for the chords or do you keep them the same? Just wondering because now my chords aren't sounding right...
