Cant lie?

Would the world really be better off if you couldn't LIE!?
Kind of like the movie...liar liar.
Think about it and tell me what you think because I still think it would be better.

There's a diffenece between being polite and lieing right?

No, can you imagine the havoc it would cause? If you hated your boss or your professor, anyone else in authority, there's no way you tell them about it... and sparing someone's feelings is never a bad thing, say a friend calls you up and you're busy, but she's upset, what are you going to say? yes I am busy, but go on anyways?

I don't think it would be better, it would get people into trouble a lot, and there would probably be many more arguments and fights, little white lies are good I think... like, oh, that dress is lovely! Big lies, people would be better off without usually though... sometimes!

Sometimes a lie is necessary to save face or the feelings of another, and only then do I condone it.

Lying to benefit your own needs is not a good way to live your life, but I don't think it would be a great world if we were never able to tell a lie - imagine telling your sweet grandmother that her soup is awful.

I think the world is less dramatic when people can lie. But then again, there are so many things that could be avoided if people couldnt lie...like investigations and lawyers and what not.
But it builds character being able to make the decision for yourself to lie or not.
So I think its better this way/.

OMG thats so TRUE...but if you couldn't lie things wouldn't get you in a mess. Like if you tell one lie, it turns into a million and then you are stuck.
