I grew up in Port Huron Michigan which is right across the St. Clair River from Sarnia Ontario. Some of my relatives live in Canada so I guess you could say that I like Canadians fine. When I moved to Texas I had to quit punctuating every sentence with eh because Texans looked at me like I was from Mars when I did that.
Canada is a nice place with lots of very nice and earnest people. I've often thought about moving to Vancouver because it is so pretty there.
Canada got a bad rep via south park. I don't think any differently of Canadians than I do Americans. I'm sure you guys have your fair share of idiots just like any other nation and theres nothing wrong with saying eh (I catch myself doing it occasionally and I'm american) also we have dumb slang and say things like dawg, and sayign word when we agree with something. I'm sure Canada is snowy a lot seeing as hot its pretty far north but I doubt very highly that anyone lives in an igloo in canada (for that matter I don't think its cold enough all year round to keep an igloo) and I think you guys have some pretty good musicians (some buddys of mine have done some songs with a rap group from toronto called focus crew) so I don't have any negative opinions of any Canadians as of yet.
***What do you people really think of Canada?***
I attended college in Canada. As with any place on earth, it has its good aspects and bad aspects.
***Do Canadians live in igloos?***
Most sensible people, at least in my experience, do not think that.
***Do you think it's always snowy?***
No.
***Do you like or hate Canadians? Do you think that Canadians are just a bunch of idiot?***
I don't have a blanket attitude toward the entire nation of Canada. I have several Canadian friends, I met several very friendly and hospitable people, and I also met some true idiots and ignoramuses.
***Do you think that Canadians talk funny, always saying things like eh ? ***
Many Canadians, like Americans and most other nationalities, have regional accents. I also met people there with indistinguishable accents.
LOL...Ok, well I am Canadian and I don't say Eh, I don't live in an igloo and yes, it is cold and snowy in the winter, however we have nice warm summers. Really depends on which part of Canada you are in, but some places have much colder winters then we do here in Vancouver!
Canada is probably one of the most beautiful Countries in the world and most Canadians are friendly, warm and nice people.

I have never heard of anyone thinking anything bad about Canadians. I live in Pa and go to Canada about once a year (well I did before the customs made it harder to get back into the US). I love going there. As for the people who think all Canadians are idiots? Why would you even care what some ignorant fool thinks of you? You're a person just like everyone else in the world and anyone that says they think all Canadians are idiots is racist. Just be who you are and don't worry about the Americans...besides, not all of them have bad attitudes.
Do Canadians live in Igloos? Ha! I love this question! That's funny. Actually, the misconception is that Eskimos live in igloos, not Canadians. Canadians are just...well, Robin Williams said it perfectly:
Canadians are like that loft apartment over a really great party. ::stomps on floor:: CUT IT OUT, EH!
I like Canada. I've been there once and spent 5 days in Ontario and Montreal (truck driving will send you there). It was the week of (American) Thanksgiving. I wasn't at all dissatisfied with the country at all. As a matter of fact I thought it was beautiful.
As for the people think low of us comment, I don't believe that at all. I rarely hear of bad news that comes out of Canada (probably because Americans are so engrossed in their own affairs to care about other countries' problems). You have a better hold on the health care system than we do. Millions of Americans are without health care due to not having a job or just can't afford it. You guys up there, however, have a grip on free health care for all. I like that.
I'd live there if I could but I'm from Arizona. Heat! I must have heat! The winters up there are too cold for me.
lol Yeahhh this was a silly question, but I've had people say things to me before that was weird to me. In Canada we learn about the whole world.. not just our country. Some people make me laugh with the idiotic things they say about Canadians. I guess they were just goofing with me.. lol who knows! :P
Yes we live in igloos and have to hunt bison by chasing them of cliffs. We all know each other because only 70 people live here. Me and my friend John BigSwallow go ice fishing all the time. The Summers are basically just a colder winter. We play Hockey with broken branches off of trees that look like sticks. I am the hunter of our pack. I have to get the food for our family and the rest of our village of Canada. Also everything runs on whaleblubber and we get around on Mooseback. My favorite season is goosehunting season because the geese taste very good. ERverything here is already frozen so there is no need for anything to be flash frozen. Also we dont have computers.
LOL gosh I hate all those questions!
one time when I was in florida I met some people and I got asked sooo much crap, I was just like *mouth agape really!?*
like the igloo one, snow ofc, blah blah blah I even got asked if I rode a polar bear to school!? Wtf =\ . thats dense to me but yeah anywayss!
heck I wasn't even born in canada and I never thought all that crud...
But yes its cold in the winter... but damn its hot in the summer too!
haha and winter seems like it lasts 6months (N) I should count it one yearr =\
and hmm... I do think that they talk funny, not so much to actual talking lol but the accent, and yeah...
but that might just be because im french and canadian english was the erm 3rd-or-4th language I actually learnt... damn it was hard to learn haha

lol, I'm just curious. I've lived in Canada my whole life and I've heard my fair share from people (Americans mostly) that think so low of us.
