Can you use a normal guitar case for a base guitar?

well I'm a starter on playing base guitar so at this point I know nothing and I'm practically retarded when it comes to these stuff... can you use a normal guitar case for a base guitar?

uhh yeah if the shape of the bass guitar is suitable you can use it

If it fits, sure. You want a case that doesn't crush the guitar, or let it bang around inside.

I would say 'not usually' since the headstock on a bass is much larger, and the neck is longer than a guitar...

Why not just use a bass guitar case?
