Can you really make money online?

Are those websites that say you can make money by taking surveys ect. real?
Id LOVE to sit here and make money doing ANYTHING online,Im constantly on the computer.
But every website I've heard of where you make money,you have to sign up for thingsor you have to pay.or buy software,ect.

yea you can but it wouldnt be much, you have more of a chance of making a thousand dollars on halo 3 by betting then to make a thousand online as quick
