Can you eat with your mouth closed and you are nose plugged?

Yes, sort of, but you have to stop chewing occasionally in order to breathe. (Mouth breathing while chewing will probably make you cough and choke.)

Who said anything about swallowing? The feeding tube goes straight into your stomach, through your abdomen. The tracheotomy allows you to breathe without using your nose or mouth...
