Do you honestly think that it's good ? I'm here to tell it's not and same like any other drugs, it's addicting. Try to stay away from it. Find another alternative. Take care and good luck.

It can most definitely be addicting. My sister has let it control her life and its changed her so much. I wouldn't consider weed a bad drug if you smoke it accordingly.

Marijuana can be addictive. Not everyone who uses marijuana becomes addicted, but some users do develop signs of dependence. In 1999, more than 220,000 people entered drug treatment programs to kick their marijuana habit.

Marijuana is actually less addicting than chocolate, and is better for you. And all you people saying its a drug? Congratulations on being brainwashed by the government.

cannabis and marijuana arent physically addictive... they are mentally though...if a person wants to be high all the time and cant get through the day without smoking or drinking something then thats a mental addiction...alcoholics are an example... smoke all you want as long as you dont go overboard with it and make it your sole purpose in life...also stay away from heroine, cocaine and other drugs like meth or MDMA (extacy)

yeah what they said^^
you can only get addicted mentally...the people that said 'you can definitely get addicted' like every other drug, obviously are complete retards, no offence...
my sister was on it everyday (almost ALL day) durin de last 2 years of when she was at school but she got off it when she left school...she wasnt the slightest bit addicted and had no withdrawl symptoms or watevr ya call em...but yeah they arnt da same as other drugs obviously because weed is much less dangerous all round...!!!

Answered by oooshesbad on Apr 09, 2008, 11:00AM

its actually not addicting like ciggarettes the type of addiction you get from weed is mental you think you need it but you dont unlike nicotine which your body craves.

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Apr 10, 2008, 09:30PM

its not habit forming either but I will say it is a gateway drug and any pothead who says it isnt is lying they KNOW deep down it is you just have to control it and drugs arent cool they ruin lives trust me

Thunder Robot Answered by funadvice on Apr 22, 2008, 11:00AM

it is not that addicting... not compared to other behaviors/ drugs I've tried/ been involved with. I would be a lot happier if I was a mom and found out my kid was smoking weed then doin other stuff.

As an ex weed smoker and a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor I can tell you yes, weed can be addictive. When addiction exists, the drug use controls the individual rather than the individual controlling the drug use.

anything that changes the way you feel, think, and operate has the chance of being addicting

hell, people even get addicted to food

well its not really addicting persay. it has nothing in it chemicially that will make yyour body and mind addicted. what people get addicted to is the high and the different mindset you are in while high and you begin to always want to be in it. so accually I guess it is. considering I am very addicted... but I truely believe it is a lifestyle only other potheads could understand and I love it

I too was a pothead for 26 years. In that time pot ruled. I lost jobs, relationships, a marriage and a myriad of other opportunities because it was more important for me to get high than to live and create my life. I was existed in a fantasy world, the extent of which I never even realized till I got clean. I threw away everything I loved because I wanted to smoke weed. It that isn't addiction I don't know what is. Just as a side note, when I finally did break the addiction I spent two weeks in withdrawal, coming down.
