I have asked the same question, and was told to go to thedude or to the editor, they will look over your advice, make sure all the spelling and stuff like that is right and then they should decide whether or not your advisor material!
^^^yes. 'thedude' and the 'editor' are basically the people who run this site. just leave them a comment or funmail saying that you want to become an advisor, and like the person above me said, they will take a look at your profile and see if it has good grammer and spelling, and if the advice given is good. they will decide whether or not to upgrade your account to advisor status. but on your profile it says you have answered only 36 questions, I suggest you answer 50-100 before requesting to become an advisor.
Upper left hand corner of the advisors page lists out the requirements...and the site search for 'how to become an advisor' will yield the same question with good, historical answers
We also like to see people that know how to use the site join the 'team' so to speak, because then they can help answer questions about how things work, etc, when myself or editor aren't around.
Good luck on becoming an Advisor =]
