Can I exercise one year after surgery?

Asked by lheng about 1 year ago, 1 answer.

I gave birth 1 year ago on a cesarean method and undergone tubal ligation afterwards. I was very afraid to exercise since then. Up to now, I don't know how to shed some pounds.... I gained 20 pounds since I got pregnant. Please advise me on how to lose weight in a proper and appropriate manner. I also want to seek advice for proper diet. Your advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.......

lheng,

Information online suggests waiting 4-6 weeks after a C-section, and then beginning with some gentle exercises. One year seems like an adequate time to wait, but I suggest you call your OBGYN just to be sure. He/she is the person who would know for sure!
