Well, technically you can. However if you are under a lease, this would not necessarily relive you of you're term. What I would recommend is consulting your financial institution about what your options are. Mainly because GAP Insurance & Regular Insurance are mostly for auto accidents. Donations are always good, and yes you can claim tax deductions most of the time by doing so. Though under a lease, if you were to donate your car, you would still be under the lease. Though... I'll tell you what. I'll check around a little further for you, and attempt to locate some national donation sanctions that may possibly pay-off a remainder amount on a donation.
