well both are important, but calories not burned are turned into fat...
U need to keep track of both!! Most of the fat comes from calories!! so like if your on a diet you need to see how many calories are in it and the Calories from fat!!!
3600 cals with out being burned off turns into a lb...
so it helps you not to gain weight if you watch them...

Calories or fat?
If calories are just energy, why is everybody obsessed with calorie counting. Shouldnt it be about the fat content in the food instead?
