Calculate time in physics

An object is released from rest off the top of a building. The height of the building from the ground is 20m. Gravitationsl pull is 9.8m/s2 ( Ignoring air resistance.

How long does it take to hit the ground and what is its velocity immediately before...

it hits the ground.

Can anyone please help me with how to do the formulas PLEASE??

googled 'free fall formula' and...

sqrt(2 * d / g) = time until impact
sqrt(2 * d * g) = velocity on impact
