Bumps on my vagina

on an island Asked by greek3nny about 1 year ago, 13 answers.

HI Im 16 and I have had bumps on my vagina since I was 12. They are usually filled with pus and blood. I tried asking my mom about them when they first started but I think she thought that I was talking about my clit. I know what that is thank you....

These bumps are really bothering me and they hurt. Sometime I have them at times I dont. I havent tried to talk to her about them again and I probably wont until I think they are really serious. Can you give me ome symptoms of things. I havent had sex so hopefully I can rule out most STDs but I do masturbate.

Okay. Pus filled big bumps are nothing to get freaked out on..I get them sometimes. These bumps are usually referred as boils. You can get these suckers by different ways. If you are a shaver down there, you could possibly have an ingrown hair. These usually look like bumps. Sometimes they do get big and fill with pus. They can be really uncomfortable and maybe even hurt when you put on your pants or even walk. If this is your case, give it a couple of weeks to go down. Warm to hot baths are recommended for any type of boil or cyst. You can also get boils from wearing non-breathable undies. Try to stay away from silk or polyester material and opt of cotton. Because us women do tend to sweat down there and being covered with panties and pants, our vaginas don't get to breath much! So make sure you wear a lot of cotton undies!! This will help your boils go down a lot! I know this because I go through it time to time. Every woman is different, so don't panic. So soak up a nice warm to hot bath for 20 minutes or longer, and wear cotton undies! However, IF you are or do become sexually active, please visit a doc right away to rule out those STD possibilities. But if your not, then chances are, you have boils from shaving or non-cotton underwear. Good luck to you...and I hope this was helpful!

I get them too, sometimes.
I only ever get ONE though.
It's on very rare occasions and usually right before my period.
But I've done some research and it seems a lot of women get these.
Most have said that their doctors says it's nothing to worry about.
This problem seems pretty common.

But audrina's advice was perfect.

Personally, I've never heard of anything like that, but if your mom wont listen go to the doctor, it could be serious, it might not. So dont wait till you think its serious because it could very well be serious right now.

Good Luck!

I agree with Tizz. Go see a gynocologist. That isn't normal, and there is no reason you should live with that kind of discomfort. Can you imagine... it might just go away by taking some pills.

check this out, I would imagine it should be close to what you have if not EXACTLY waht you have.. but to make sure you should talk to your mom or serously go to a doctor.

Ask your mom to take you to the doctor. Or some other trusted adult. If your mom wants to know why, say because your worried about the bumps and you want to get them checked out just to make sure nothing is seriously wrong and/or to get some pills to make them go away. Just try and get to the doctor!

Audrina is right, you don't need to go to the doctor. You're all good, it's normal for girls who are sensitive down there or who shave.
