I'm a hairdresser, though I haven't practiced in a long time. Some things you never forget.
I think everyone looks good with blond hair, but if your hair is very dark, like yours (and mine), you should bleach it as much as possible and then put a toner (or hair color) on after a couple of days. If you choose something a shade darker, the blond will look more natural.
P.S. If you are impatient, you can go ahead and do the color before waiting a couple of days.
