Brown to black

Asked by nessaricher 9 months ago, 6 answers.

Kay so my natural hair color is medium brown, and last week a dyed my hair myself . I was trying to get kinda a chocolaty brown but it went super dark, practically black. I miss my hair so much and everyone says it will fade back.. Is that true? How long...

will that take. Is there anything else I can do , cause I can't really afford to go to a salon right now

if it wasnt permanent hair gdye then yes
if it was, then not really, and it will take a very long time
an easy way to make colour fade (works best for bleached and then coloured hair, and non permanent hair dye) is to use a non colour treated shampoo on your hair reguarly
normal shampoo that doesnt have anything like for colour treated hair will work best

Head and shoulders shampoo is the way to go. It makes your hair a lot lighter if you have dyed it. I dye my hair all the time and it fades so fast so I don't think it will take a long time for yours to fade. And remember the dye on the box always comes out two shades darker if you are trying to go darkhappy

it will take awhile. sorry to tell you that. what you can do though is bleach it out completely (your hair will be yellowy) then dye it your natural colour over that. it will go back happy make sure you use a lot of repairing conditioner to make it go back. hope I helped happy
