Has anyone had a sibling in jail?

My brother is in jail for trafficking drugs he has been in for 6 months but when he first went in he told us that it was for getting into a fight with a weapon. I have been very supportive of him and his wife and niece. I have let her stay with me so she was 4 hrs closer to him rather then dive long trips with a little one. I have sent him many letters as well as products. I feel very used. how ever his wife knew all along what he was in for and when I found out (got snoopy found out online) and asked her she told me she didnt know anything about it and then told me I was a bad sister and schould treat him better. then come to find out she knew all along. I am unsure what to do next it is very easy for me to just write someone out of my life but I have gone through a lot with my brother. as for his wife she is no longer welcome in my house for a couple reasons she is 10 years older than him and is fully capable to work but will not main reson he felt pressuerd to do this was because they where falling behind with bills. also she has to have the $400-$900 puerses and expensive clothes when him and the baby make do with Wal-mart clothes.then she belittles me and tells me I dont know how to be family I am unsure what to do has anyone been through this before?

what you should do is help your brother out, support him, influence him to do better, and as for his wife, well just give her the boot
I think the only time that you should step in with her again is if she is treating the girl badly and not feeding her and negleting her, you know stuff like that
but from what it seems from the brief paragraph you worte is that she is uneducated and has no manners

but yeah, help you bro out, help him through this hardship he's going through

well I've never had a sibling in jail, but my dads been in jail since forever ...I've never seen or talked to him in person.. my mom hide all the secrets from me, she told me that my dad had jumped down a hole and died ..that was up until I told her I was leaving then she sat down and told me everything. I was mad at first so I left and she holds that against me... she always tells me that I should go see my dad in jail, especially because I no the truth about him, sh ehates the fact that I left her, but I honestly am through with her..(its not only the dad things there are other reasons to)

Love your brother but put some distant between you and them - where they are at right now, they will use you in a second and as often as they can - reiterate to both, they should have been honest with you from the beginning and don't get hurt/used again - me, I would pray for them that their lives get turned around...I wish you the best !!

my brother got put in jail.but the only reason he did is because he knew the person had grugs but didn't tell.
