Breast cancer

The doctors found cancerous cells in a tumor in my moms breast...they say they caught it early but still im scared... There is a good chance my mom will be alright once they remove the tumor right? Please be honest I just need to know cause I getting...

myself hysterical. Breast cancer is one of the best to get cause it is one of the most people recover from right? Thats what I herd.. Please help

If a doctor says that they caught it early, that most likely means that your mother is going to turn out fine. Doctors tend to tell you the truth up front rather than sugarcoating it. If they sound positive, then she should be okay. Of course, there are always complications in surgeries but don't worry yourself too much. Just comfort your mom and help her through it because she is probably a hundred times more scared than you are. Be strong for her and take this as a chance to really understand how much you appreciate your mom and care about her. The doctors will probably just take out the tumor, give her some medication, and have some regular checkups afterwards. Stay optimistic and good luck.

Aww boo..I'm so sorry you have to go thru this I had the same problem except that my mom really didn't have cancer they had made a mistake but when she told me it might be cancer I freaked literally!I cried all day all I night I tought my mom was gunna die... but anyways I think she'll be fine she might have chemotherapy but she be find hunny don't worry funmail me if you need anything I'll pray for you and your mommy!

My momhad breast cancer twice and lung cancer adn brain cancer, but she servived it all with only one surgery during her 1st breat cancer experiance and she is perfectly healthy!!! I'm sure your mom will be okay. It may comeback but im sure shell be fine if shes anything like my mom Tell her good luck and to be safe.Ill pray for her

I understand how terrified you are, my father had a scare with lung cancer a few months ago.

All I can tell you is this: don't worry about things that haven't happened. It is ENTIRELY possible that your mother will recover and be completely fine. Instead of wasting your time worrying, take this as a signal that you should make the very most of the time you have with your mother, and learn all you can from her.

I don't know to much about breast cancer. If they caught it early im sure she will be fine. I dont want to upset you or anything but my cousin fought it for a couple years and she ended up passing away about 2 years ago. I'm sure after chemo and everything she will be just fine though.

My mom had an experience just like this. It was really scary for both of us. I knew that she was really scared too, but she wanted to pretend like it was nothing because she didnt want to freak me out.

Honestly, when it is caught really early like that, there is a super good chance that they can remove the tumor and the cancer will be gone. After that, they do a whole bunch of follow ups to make sure nothing is growing back.
The really important thing is, that they caught it this early, and they are removing the tumor, if it were more serious, they might be talking about removing the entire breast even, so as much as it still is serious, it sounds as though there is still a great possibility that this is something they can take care of fairly easily.
Just encourage your mom to get regular mammograms and when you become old enough for them get them as well, detection is the best prevention.

 
Especially when caught early, breast cancer has a very high survival rate. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as your mom undergoes the necessary treatments.
