It explains that there are many components to increasing the risk factor of cancer.
Often cancer results from the combined effects of genetics, physical and chemical carcinogens.
So while genetics is one single aspect of cancer risk, it's only 1 single piece of the puzzle. Just because your cat's dad had cancer doesn't mean your cat will.
