Do braces hurt when you get them on?

do braces hurt when you get them on??? im getting braces and I've been told it wont hurt

when they are actually placing them on, it doesnt hurt at all. Once they are all on, they are pretty sure, and its tough to chew food. It's not a terrible pain or anything, but you probably want to eat soft things for like 3 days or so..
When you get the wire tightened at each visit..the same thing happens..they get a little sore..but it only lasts a day or so..
and they do not hurt at all when you get them off..

Dont worry about getting them on, its a tiny bit sore, but I wouldnt even call it a pain, just a little achy.
Good luck, when they come off, you will have a gorgeous smile!! It will all be worth it.

it doesnt hurt when they put them on, ya.. thats how it felt for 2 hours. (for me) Well, after 2 hours, they hurt like hell. I could barely open my mouth. That went on for 3 days.

NO THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO SCARE YOU I HAVE BRACES AND THEY DONT HURT AT ALL NOT EVEN WHEN YOU GET THEM OFF!!!

all they do is cement a bracet on your tooth a twirls a wire into it
it didnt hurt that muchh

actually I am getting mine off in like 2 weeks kinda scared
but it shouldn't be to painful
it's just when they use that brush thing to get the
glue off it hurts a bit but not pain
more a tingling feeling.

No there might me some discomfort but other than that its just sore.The only other time it there might some discomfort or pain is when the wires on braces have to be tightened.Gums and teeth will mostly remian sore for 2 to 3 days.Luckly you can still eat my advice is to eat soft foods such as apple sauce - gello - mac+cheese - noodles.Gettin braces on might take about one hour tops no worse than spacers.If you are worried about gettin spacers well lets just say I was scared to but it took one minute and was`t painful just sore afterwards!!! good luck

Yes braces hurt a lot. But it is very much worth it. This is only a two - four year thing. Trust me you will survive!

It doesn't hurt when you put them on. But in like an hour or so, it will get sore and it will be like your teeth is coming off. Don't eat hard foods like an whole apple etc. Mine only lasted for 3-5 days so don't worry. (:
