Why do boys hide their emotions?

why is it that most boys (men in general) have trouble showing their true emotions? its drives me crazy because my boyfriend has this huge macho man thing going on and he can never tell me how he feels because he thinks he wont be manly enough...what is...

it with guys??? I WANT GUYS TO ANSWER THIS SO BOYS DONT THINK IM TRYING TO OFFEND YOU OR ANYTHING

im trying to figure that one out. the only way he really opens up is if he hurts me in some way and then hell break down and tell me stuff, its usually in the dark tho. so try laying with him so you can't really see him and just be like what are your feelings or what are u thinking or something like that. or ur guy might have a thing wiht just being emo i dunno

(well you know me grilfriend )i need to answer this one yeah grilfriend you are right my Boyfriend does the same thing and i wonder why. I think it is because maybe they are shy and they don't know how you would react he won't no what you are thinking inside your head about it or if you might leave him because he told you how he felt maybe he he is not ready to tell you how he feels sometime it will come don't worry about that but THAT WAS A VERY GOOD QUestion

alright..i'm 13 year old dude..dude's just hate when chicks critisize or think of them in a negative manner..don't get me wrong, we love it when you notice something you want us to fix, cuz we can make it better for you, but we can never just straight up tell you..the dark thing works..it also works if you're like..tired and cuddled up or something..but, if you want more..

They might be afraid of how you will react to their showing emotions. They may also think that if they show emotions then girls will not look to them for comfort but to somebody else. They may also feel that most girls will feel ashamed to know their fella's are willing and able to show emotions.
