One way to do this is the playful way, like saying that your chest is feeling hot can you feel it to see if its over heating, ect. or if you start to be more touchy with him than he might with you( he might have jsut been nervous or unsure)

In any relationship communication is key; talk to him about it, maybe he is nervous? talk to him and discuss prior how far you both are willing to go, set limits, maybe hes just not comfortable with it, and if that's the case you have to respect that and not pressure him. As said, just talk to him, if you are old enough to be doing this then surely you are old enough to be able to talk to each other about it...
