How to entertain myself on the walk home?

when you are walking a long way home from anywhere what can you do to entertain your self on the way home if you don't have a friend to walk with or music. you could kick rocks around but that is so old fashioned. you know what I don't think there are any answers to this question but if you could dig and dig for some answers that would be most appreciated. THANK YOU!!

Look at how things in nature are changing with the seasons - I love that!

Oh dear - California. Do you have much in the way of seasons? I guess there should still be a lot to look at if there are gardens or wildlife.

I use long walks to let my mind run free, and think about anything I want. It's very therapeutic.

Play 'Fire hydrant'...

When I was a kid and my Mom took my to school and back again,
we'd play 'Fire Hydrant'

When you see a fire hydrant, you have to scream...'Fire hydrant 1!!' before the other player could.

then...'Fire hydrant 2!!'...'Fire hydrant 3!!' etc. Whoever has the most fire hydrants by the time you get to your destination, WINS!

But your walking by yourself...that would be weird and could possibly get you arrested.

Get a digital camera and start snapping pics on the way home. You will be surprised at what you capture this way.

ok so thats good information for me but the problem with the fire hydrant is I mostly walk on main streets that have a lot of dirt places and not a lot of houses to go by but I suppose I could do it with another object like every rock in the way or every squirrel that comes by or even foot prints! a piece of trash maybe but then I would have to pick it up!! any object!!! but when we are in a car we play a game called yellow ducky!! but thats only for really long road trips! ---oh and I do know the song lucy in the sky with diamonds I know practically know all the Beatles songs!!!I love ob la dee ob la da life goes on bra la la how the life goes on! in a town where I was born lived a man who sailed the seas and he told us of his life in a yellow submarine! listen do you want to know a secret do you promise not to tell woah closer let me wisper in your ear say the words I long to hear im in love with you! bright are the stars that shine dark as the sky I know this love of mine will never die and I love her!
