Yes.
I've taken several hairstyling courses. Some home kits give you the EXACT same results. For blond, the brand 'Frost and glow' gives you perfect results.
yes dude! buy some freaking dye at the
pharmacy or w/e! it works just as well!
thats how I dye my hair! lol =] but be
sure you pick a name brand because the other
ones suck. get like garnie` fructis, or
something like that...and if there is any,
then check if they say 'amonia free' and
get that one. =] hope I helped! <3

I'm going through the same thing =]
My hair is mousey blonde and I have died it a few times but nothing major. So yea the home dyes are completely fine, just make sure you follow the instructions.
If your hair is not too dark then I highly doubt it will turn ginger. I would suggest doing a bit of your hair first to see how it comes out then decide if you want to do you whole head. Good luck!

Should I go blonde or stay boring?
My hair is a mousey colour, its never been dyed before but I've been thinking of going blonde... however im on quite a short budget - is it possible to get a good colour from home dyes and if so how?? or is it not worth the risk - I do not want to end up ginger!
