How do you block a phone number on your cellphone?

Call your phone care provider and they'll explain what needs to be done, sometimes there is a charge.

so are you saying you have to call from the persons number that you want to get blocked? I want to block someone too but I want to stay as far away from them as possible!!! and is it free?

dial *67 before dialing the number
it works on a regular phone, and I've done it plenty of times
and I'm pretty positive it blocked my number.
