I don't know how many foods there are that would cause this. There are so many different factors to consider besides food. Lactose intolerant individuals who consume milk products could have this as a symptom. A woman who is about to start her period can become bloated. A lot of foods high in salt content will also cause you to become bloated. Sometimes hot weather will cause swelling in the hands and feet. Some common foods that are high in sodium (salt) to stay away from especially during that time of the month would be processed lunch meats, condensed soups, pickles, cheese, most anything canned, pork, real butter and Chinese food. Sometimes being bloated is water-retention. Although it could be other symptoms such as excessive gas or an upset stomach. If you are bloated due to retaining water, drink water. This will help tremendously and you can never go wrong with lots of water, anyway. There are countless benefits to drinking lots of water daily.

you should be checked out for celiac disease, TTG antibody in the blood but you must be consuming breads and bread products prior to the test. I used to bloat 5 inches in one day - beginning of day ok end 5 inches bigger - not kidding. Huge factor for me is breads and bread products. Anything with wheat, gluten and any hidden sources such as soya sauce and lunch meats. Also milk and milk products are bad.
