How does a person get a bladder infection?

Should I Bleed during my Bladder infection. It Hurts so bad
I was Wondering How Does a person get a Bladder infectioin?

 
I don't think that that would be normal with a bladder infection.

If you are bleeding from the bladder then it is time to consult with your doctor.

I'm not sure how you get a bladder infection but it seems to me that I've heard that one thing that helps cause bladder infections is by 'holding' excessively long rather than going to the bathroom more frequently.

Because you said it hurts so bad, I'd seriously recommend that you check with your doctor as soon as possible. It could be serious!

you can get bladder infections from E coli which lives in your stomach..it can happen from frequent sex,the bacteria that lives in your stomach naturally lives around the skin of your vag*na and rectum, which gets pushed up the urinary tract and into the bladder, and if you hold you bladder a lot..that can do it too..the bacteria in your urine multiples like crazy because the urine is stagnant..
As far as bleeding...definately call your Dr.

You can bleed when you have a bladder infection, it means that its a bad case of one but it is possible. And yes, it hurts sooo bad. You should call your doctor and get an antibiotic. Waiting too long can result in a kidney infection and you'll be in the hospital for that one. Call your doctor and make sure you're drinking tons of water, especially after you go to the bathroom. As for what causes it, everyone else is right, even wiping the wrong way can lead to one, also, different soaps in your bath or shower can cause you to get one if you're sensitive to them...
